Day 1:
Filming began on the 21st June, where we managed to film the couple of shots that included younger Jessie J, which was portrayed by Csenge. The reason for starting with these shots is that Csenge had the necessary costume with her to make her look more like younger Jessie J, and the idea that we were going to need extra people to take on the other roles, which were not available to film at this specific time.
As a group for the filming, we first worked as a team to make the decisions of where the shots should be located. The first location that we decided on was a corridor with big double doors. The location fitted well with the first shot that we were going to film of Csenge, portraying younger Jessie J. The first shot included Csenge's character dramatically walking through the doors. This is the part in the music video as younger Jessie J makes a big exist, to show the frustration she is facing from the other girls in the classroom. Looking at the location and the shot angle, it matched up well with the original music video making a positive start to the filming.
The final shot of the day, was a brief shot of the posters
being pulled down. The props of the posters were printed off in advance, to
ensure the realism
Filming then resumed on 22nd June, from 9:15 to 12:30.
In the time of 9:15 to 11:00, we used the time to film the classroom shots. The reason for doing these first was because Csenge, Ellie and Sophie who were playing the characters that built up these shots had other places to be later on in the day. During these scenes, Chloe took on the role of filming, as she was not needed to be an extra in the shot, as we were able to make a classroom of people with who we already had.
While filming the classroom shots, I took on the role of one of the mean girls. The character I was had the costume of all pink, to help create an exact replicate of the original music video. When taking on this role I was able to experience what it was like to sing during the video, and how make this look realistic, but still be able to see the pronunciation of the words.
At about 11:15, was when we lost Csenge, Ellie and Sophie from the filming process due to previous commitments. Which meant that this left myself, Chloe and Megan to film the shots with older Jessie J and Teacher Jessie J that was being portrayed by Chloe. By having less people in these shots, it made it a lot easier to direct and understand what was meant to be filmed. The process of filming was the idea that we would have the original video on in the background to ensure that Chloe was able to copy the exact moves, with the correct lyrics at that point. By working as a team, the three of us were able to smoothly get the shots done, with as little problems as possible.
