Construction - Taking Photos

After creating the first draft of the Digipak and Magazine advert, it made me realise that I was lacking images that I was able to use. From this realisation I decided to have a mini photoshoot in order to gather more images. The type of images that I gathered were a range of different ribbons shots, from being in the models hair to hanging on the wall. When taking the images I decided to use different backgrounds, settings and colours to find the perfect image that I was aiming for.

The settings that I used included a change in the shutter speed, which meant that the camera was now set up to take pictures at a slower rate. By changing the speed it meant that I was able to take images with the lights to spell out different words. The images that were taken did not get used on any of the texts that I created, however it was a method that helped me to explore the use of the camera and allowed other ideas to come from it that were used on the digipak.

After changing the speed of the camera, I decided that these types of images were nice to look at, however did not match the type of marketing I was aiming for. This meant that I changed the camera speed back to what it originally was set to and took some images of the model I was using and the ribbon. The shots that I took at this time were more successful as they were the types of images that I was aiming to use. The types of shots that I gathered included many different angles of the ribbons tied in her hair, as the ribbon was something that I wanted the digipak and magazine advert to focus on, as this is a way for the different products to link to one another.
